Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Martini

  • Author: neuriox

  • Yield: 1 martini 1x

Description

This easy, decadent cocktail combines creamy chocolate liqueur, fresh strawberry puree, vodka, and a splash of cream for a dessert-like martini that’s perfect for special occasions or girls’ night. It’s quick to make, crowd-pleasing, and tastes like a chocolate-dipped strawberry in a glass.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 oz (45ml) chocolate liqueur (e.g., Godiva, Mozart)
  • 1 oz (30ml) vodka (unflavored, chilled)
  • 1 oz (30ml) strawberry puree (fresh or thawed frozen strawberries, blended)
  • 0.5 oz (15ml) strawberry syrup (Monin, Torani, or homemade)
  • 0.5 oz (15ml) heavy cream or half-and-half (or coconut cream for dairy-free)
  • 0.25 oz (7ml) lemon juice (fresh)
  • Ice cubes (for shaking)
  • Chocolate syrup (for drizzling, optional)
  • Fresh strawberries (whole or sliced, for garnish)
  • Crushed chocolate cookies or graham crackers (for rimming glass, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberry puree: Add 1/2 cup (75g) fresh or thawed frozen strawberries to a blender and blend until smooth. Strain if desired to remove seeds. Set aside.
  2. Optional: Prepare glass rim by pouring crushed chocolate cookies or graham crackers onto a small plate. Moisten the rim of your martini glass with a strawberry slice or syrup, then dip into the crumbs.
  3. Drizzle chocolate syrup inside the glass for a decorative swirl. Chill the glass in the freezer for 5-10 minutes to set the chocolate.
  4. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes. Add chocolate liqueur, vodka, strawberry puree, strawberry syrup, heavy cream, and lemon juice.
  5. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds until the shaker feels frosty.
  6. Remove the glass from the freezer and strain the cocktail mixture into the prepared glass.
  7. Garnish with a fresh strawberry and an extra drizzle of chocolate syrup if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use ripe strawberries for best flavor; frozen berries work well if thawed. Adjust sweetness by varying syrup and puree amounts. For dairy-free, use coconut cream or almond milk. Most chocolate liqueurs are gluten-free, but check labels. Shake longer for extra frothiness, but avoid over-diluting. Rim glass with crushed cookies for extra texture and flavor. Taste and adjust before pouring. For a non-alcoholic version, substitute vodka and liqueur with chocolate milk and strawberry juice.
