Description
A quick and easy iced coffee recipe combining strong brewed coffee with Baileys Irish Cream, milk, and homemade whipped cream for a creamy, indulgent treat perfect for any time of day.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (240 ml) strong brewed coffee (freshly brewed or cold brew concentrate)
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) Baileys Irish Cream
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk (whole milk preferred, or almond, oat, or dairy-free alternatives)
- Ice cubes as needed
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) heavy cream, chilled
- 1 tablespoon (12 g) powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- Cocoa powder or chocolate shavings for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Brew about 1 cup (240 ml) of strong brewed coffee. Let it cool to room temperature or chill in the fridge for 15-20 minutes.
- Pour 1/2 cup (120 ml) of chilled heavy cream into a cold mixing bowl. Add 1 tablespoon (12 g) powdered sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract if using. Whisk with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until soft peaks form, about 2-3 minutes.
- In a serving glass, combine the cooled coffee with 3 tablespoons (45 ml) Baileys Irish Cream and 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk. Stir gently to blend.
- Fill the glass with ice cubes to chill the coffee mixture thoroughly.
- Spoon or pipe the whipped cream generously on top of the iced coffee.
- Optionally, sprinkle cocoa powder or chocolate shavings over the whipped cream.
- Serve immediately with a straw or long spoon.
Notes
Use chilled bowl and beaters for best whipped cream results. If no electric mixer, whisk cream by hand with a chilled bowl. For dairy-free, use coconut cream for whipping and dairy-free milk. Warm Baileys slightly if cold to avoid clumping. Serve immediately for best texture.
