Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk (whole milk, almond milk, oat milk, or coconut milk)
  • 2 chai tea bags
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon chai spice blend (cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, nutmeg)
  • 1 splash vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: whipped cream and cinnamon or chai spice for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup of milk over medium heat until warm but not boiling.
  2. Add 2 chai tea bags and let them steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and set the milk aside.
  3. In the same saucepan, whisk together 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree, 1 tablespoon of maple syrup, and 1/2 teaspoon of chai spice blend. Cook over low heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly until smooth.
