  • Author: neuriox
  • Total Time: 22 minutes
  • Yield: 8 twists 1x

Description

Flaky, golden cinnamon twists made with crescent roll dough, perfect for cozy mornings or last-minute brunches.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can crescent roll dough
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Optional: 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl. Set aside.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean surface, gently pressing the seams together to form one large rectangle.
  4. Spread the melted butter evenly over the dough using a pastry brush.
  5. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the buttered dough.
  6. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice the dough into strips about 1 inch wide. Twist each strip gently and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake the twists in the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let the twists cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring to a plate. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Work quickly with crescent roll dough to prevent stickiness. Customize the filling with cocoa powder or crushed nuts for variety.
