  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Pinch of crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and cook gently for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned. Remove from heat and stir in parsley, salt, and optional red pepper flakes. Set aside to cool slightly.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a 12×8-inch rectangle. Cut the dough into 12 strips about 1 inch wide.
  4. Tie each strip into a loose knot and place on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each knot.
  5. Brush each knot generously with half of the garlic butter mixture.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the knots, pressing lightly so the cheese sticks.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes until knots are golden brown and cheese is bubbly and slightly browned. Watch closely after 15 minutes to avoid burning.
  8. Immediately brush the knots with the remaining garlic butter after removing from the oven.
