Description
A simple, quick grilled chicken recipe using only three ingredients that delivers juicy, flavorful results perfect for busy weeknights or last-minute meals.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon seasoning salt (blend of paprika, garlic powder, black pepper)
Instructions
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture (5 minutes).
- In a mixing bowl, drizzle olive oil over the chicken breasts. Sprinkle seasoning salt evenly on both sides. Gently toss or rub the chicken so every surface is coated (3 minutes).
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F). Let the grates heat up for 5-10 minutes and clean with a grill brush if needed.
- Place chicken breasts on the grill. Cook undisturbed for 5-6 minutes to form a nice char.
- Flip the chicken using tongs and grill for another 5-6 minutes. Use a meat thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 165°F. If no thermometer, cut into the thickest part to ensure juices run clear.
- Remove chicken from the grill and tent loosely with foil. Let rest for 5 minutes to redistribute juices.
- Slice or serve whole alongside your favorite sides.
Notes
Patting chicken dry before seasoning helps achieve a better sear. Use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking. Resting the chicken after grilling ensures juiciness. Move chicken to indirect heat if flare-ups occur. For even cooking, pound chicken to uniform thickness if thick.
