Easy No-Bake Mint Chocolate Shamrock Bark Recipe for St Patricks Day Treats

  • Author: neuriox
  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: About 12 servings 1x

Description

A quick and festive no-bake mint chocolate bark perfect for St. Patrick’s Day, combining rich dark chocolate with minty white chocolate and shamrock sprinkles for a crunchy, flavorful treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces (225 grams) dark chocolate chips or bars
  • 6 ounces (170 grams) white chocolate chips or bars
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • A few drops green gel food coloring
  • 1/3 cup (50 grams) shamrock-shaped sprinkles or candy pieces (optional)
  • Pinch of coarse sea salt
  • Parchment paper

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, smoothing out wrinkles.
  2. Break dark chocolate into small pieces and melt in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second bursts, stirring between each, until smooth and glossy. Alternatively, melt using a double boiler on low heat.
  3. Pour melted dark chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly into an 8×10 inch rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Melt white chocolate in a separate bowl using the same method. Once melted, stir in peppermint extract and green food coloring until smooth and minty green.
  5. Spoon the green white chocolate over the dark chocolate layer in small dollops and swirl lightly with a toothpick or skewer to create a marbled effect.
  6. Sprinkle shamrock candies evenly over the soft chocolate and lightly sprinkle a pinch of coarse sea salt.
  7. Chill the bark in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or until completely firm. The freezer can be used for faster chilling but watch to prevent frosting.
  8. Remove the bark from the fridge, peel off the parchment paper, and break into irregular bite-sized pieces or cut with a sharp knife.

Notes

Heat chocolate gently in short bursts and stir often to avoid scorching or seizing. Use gel food coloring for vibrant color without thinning the chocolate. Swirl chocolates lightly for a marbled effect. Chill longer if kitchen is warm to prevent melting. Variations include vegan/dairy-free options, nutty toppings, or spicy mint additions.
