Festive White Chocolate Peppermint Pretzel Crisps

  • Author: neuriox
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 20 pieces

Description

Crunchy pretzel crisps coated in creamy white chocolate and sprinkled with crushed peppermint candy for a perfect balance of sweet and salty with a holiday twist.

Ingredients

  • Pretzel crisps (plain or lightly salted)
  • White chocolate chips
  • Candy canes or peppermint candies, crushed
  • Optional: Dark chocolate for drizzling
  • Optional: Crushed nuts
  • Optional: Festive sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Crush the candy canes or peppermint candies into small pieces using a rolling pin or food processor.
  2. Place the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted. Be careful not to overheat.
  3. Using a fork or tongs, dip each pretzel crisp into the melted white chocolate, coating one side completely. Let any excess chocolate drip off before placing it on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Sprinkle the crushed candy canes or peppermint candies over the white chocolate-covered pretzels while the chocolate is still wet.
  5. Allow the pretzel crisps to cool and harden completely. You can speed up the process by placing the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes.
  6. Optional: Drizzle dark chocolate over the pretzel crisps for added flavor and a gourmet look.
  7. Once the chocolate has hardened, transfer the pretzel crisps to a serving platter or package them up for gifting.

Notes

[‘White chocolate can burn easily, so melt it in short intervals and stir frequently.’, ‘Use parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.’, ‘Work quickly to sprinkle peppermint pieces before the chocolate sets.’, ‘Experiment with toppings like crushed nuts, sprinkles, or dark chocolate drizzle.’, ‘Store fully set crisps in an airtight container to keep them fresh.’]
