- Optional: powdered sugar mixed with milk for glaze
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out one sheet of puff pastry until slightly thinner (about 1/8 inch).
- Spread the pumpkin mixture evenly over half of the pastry sheet, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Fold the pastry sheet in half lengthwise to cover the filling. Gently press the edges to seal.
- Use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to cut the pastry into 1-inch-wide strips.
- Carefully twist each strip several times and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each twist.
- Brush each twist with the beaten egg wash for a golden finish.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
- Optional: Mix powdered sugar and milk to create a drizzle and drizzle over the twists for extra sweetness.
