A visually stunning, customizable berry board featuring a medley of pink and red fruits, sparkling drinks, and fun dips—perfect for Galentine’s parties, brunches, or any festive gathering. Quick to assemble, this board is a crowd-pleaser that brings a touch of sparkle and joy to any occasion.

Ingredients

  • Fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • Raspberries
  • Blackberries
  • Red grapes, seedless, sliced in half
  • Pink or red currants (optional)
  • Watermelon balls or cubes
  • Dragonfruit, sliced or balled
  • Cherries, pitted (or pomegranate arils in winter)
  • Sparkling rosé or pink Moscato (or non-alcoholic sparkling grape juice)
  • Fresh lemon slices or zest
  • Edible flowers (rose petals, violas, or pansies, optional, food-safe)
  • Vanilla yogurt or whipped cream (or coconut yogurt for dairy-free)
  • Chocolate hazelnut spread
  • Mini meringues or vanilla wafer cookies
  • Sparkling sugar or sanding sugar
  • Honey for drizzling (optional)
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
  • Passionfruit or mango slices (optional)
  • Small squares of white or ruby chocolate (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and prep all fruit: Rinse berries and fruit under cool water, pat dry, hull and halve strawberries, slice grapes, pit cherries, and use a fruit baller for melon or dragonfruit if desired.
  2. Arrange the board: Place large items like strawberries and watermelon cubes at opposite corners, then fill in with smaller berries for a balanced, colorful look.
  3. Add bowls and dips: Place small bowls or ramekins on the board and fill with vanilla yogurt or whipped cream, chocolate hazelnut spread, and mini meringues or wafer cookies.
  4. Layer in extras: Sprinkle in currants, pomegranate arils, or passionfruit slices. Add mint leaves or edible flowers to empty spots for garnish.
  5. Garnish and finish: Dust berries with sparkling sugar using a sieve, add lemon zest or slices, and tuck chocolate pieces between fruit clusters.
  6. Serve the sparkling drink: Pour chilled sparkling rosé or pink grape juice into glasses just before serving. Garnish with lemon slices, edible flowers, or a raspberry.
  7. Presentation: Bring the board to your table and let guests serve themselves, using mini tongs or forks for easy snacking.

Notes

Use the freshest, ripest berries for best flavor. Prep fruit and dips up to 8 hours ahead, but assemble the board just before serving. For a kid-friendly version, use sparkling grape juice or pink lemonade. To make it gluten-free or vegan, choose appropriate dips and cookies. Leftover fruit can be used in salads or smoothies.
