Description
A simple and mineral-rich morning drink made by dissolving pink Himalayan salt crystals in filtered water, designed to support hydration and provide a gentle detox.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) pink Himalayan salt crystals (coarse, unrefined)
- 1 cup (240 ml) filtered or spring water at room temperature
Instructions
- Measure 1/4 cup (60 ml) of pink Himalayan salt crystals into a clean glass jar.
- Pour 1 cup (240 ml) of filtered room temperature water over the salt crystals.
- Stir gently with a non-metal spoon to combine. Do not expect all salt to dissolve immediately.
- Let the mixture sit for at least 24 hours at room temperature or until salt crystals are fully dissolved.
- Check saturation: if some crystals remain at the bottom, the sole solution is saturated. If all salt dissolved quickly, add more salt and let it rest again.
- Seal the jar tightly and store at room temperature or in the fridge.
- To prepare the morning drink, dilute 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of the sole water concentrate into 8 ounces (240 ml) of fresh filtered water and sip slowly.
Notes
Do not drink sole water concentrate undiluted as it is very salty and potent. Use only non-metal utensils and containers to avoid corrosion and flavor alteration. Store the sole water in a cool, dark place away from sunlight. Refresh the sole water every 2-3 weeks for best quality. Optional: add a splash of fresh lemon juice or steep herbs like mint or ginger for flavor variations.
