Description

A soft, fluffy bread with a swirl of sugary cinnamon goodness, perfect for cozy fall mornings or gifting to friends.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
  • 1/2 cup (115g) melted unsalted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup (50g) brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon to make the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter. Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  7. Use a knife to gently swirl the cinnamon sugar into the batter for a marbled effect.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
