Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Strawberry Cream Cheese Dip: 4 oz cream cheese, 2 tbsp powdered sugar, 1 tbsp strawberry jam, pink food coloring (optional)
  • Chocolate Ganache Dip: 1/4 cup heavy cream, 2 oz chopped chocolate
  • Caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Marshmallow fluff or whipped topping
  • Nutella or hazelnut spread
  • Greek yogurt with honey
  • Fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Pretzel twists or rods
  • Vanilla wafer cookies
  • Sliced bananas or apple wedges
  • Sprinkles, crushed freeze-dried berries, or mini chocolate chips for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a mini muffin pan or line with mini paper liners.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until smooth and glossy.
  3. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Sift in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gently fold together with a spatula until just combined.
  5. Fold in mini chocolate chips.
  6. Divide batter evenly into the prepared pan, filling each cup about 3/4 full.
  7. Bake for 13–15 minutes, until tops are shiny and crackly and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  8. Let bites cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. For Strawberry Cream Cheese Dip: Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, strawberry jam, and food coloring until fluffy.
  10. For Chocolate Ganache Dip: Heat heavy cream until steaming, pour over chopped chocolate, let stand 2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
  11. For other dips: Spoon caramel, Nutella, or marshmallow fluff into bowls; swirl in milk if needed for texture.
  12. Wash and prep fruit; arrange dippers and toppings in piles or bowls.
  13. Assemble board: Place dips in small bowls, arrange brownie bites in the center, fill in with dippers, and scatter garnishes.
  14. Serve at room temperature with tongs or toothpicks for dipping.

Notes

Brownie bites can be made gluten-free or dairy-free with simple swaps. Use a cookie scoop for uniform bites. Make ahead and store in an airtight container. Dips and dippers can be customized to taste and season. If brownie bites sink, bake a few minutes longer; if dry, check oven temp. Fruit should be prepped just before serving for freshness.
