Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest, freshly grated
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes with an electric mixer.
- Add the lemon zest and salt, mixing until just combined.
- Gradually stir in the flour and lavender until the dough comes together. The mixture may look crumbly at first, but keep mixing—it will form a soft dough.
- Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 inch (2.5 cm) in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
